The best coach in the league

Yesterday's game was a difficult way to finish the season.  I thought the boys fought hard and played to the end.  Even though it is hard to take a loss, sometimes there is more to be learned in a loss than in a win.  I think that losing this weekend gives us a chance to refocus and get ready to move into the play-offs.

After watching what I had for film on the game, I definitely don't think the better team won yesterday.  We played some great defense and had another solid day on special teams.  The only two scores we gave up were the interception for a TD and the TD after we fumbled on the one (watching on tape of the game confirmed what I thought at the time, the ball came out after Keaton was already down).  Even on offense where we struggled we still did some good things.  We stopped ourselves several times with some penalties and bad center/qb exchanges.  We reverse half of those issues and it is a different game.

I am very proud of the regular season that these boys played and how they have come together as a team.  This team has demonstrated throughout the season their ability, commitment and high level of character.  These attributes will serve Hawk Orange well as we make our play-off push.

I have to take my hat off to Dolphin White as they played a good game and worked hard and deserved the win.  With that said, the last team they will want to face in the play-offs is Hawk Orange.  If that is not the way they feel then they should as I have confidence that if we face them again, Hawk Orange will take it to them.

Thanks,
Coach Kris
Go Hawks Orange!!!
