That was a great way to start the season. I am very proud of how hard the boys played as well as well as how good they did working as a team. It is fun to see them grow as a team each time we get together. With only two players in reserve, every kid had to step it up and dig deep when they got tired.
It is great to see that with the addition of the new families on the team, we took the loudest fan group in AYL and and got even louder. With such a great sideline presence, I have taken it upon myself to provide the nickname of the "Orange Nation" to our fans and they were in full force today. The kids and the coaches a like feel the support and energy of the sideline so please keep it up.
I also was pleased to see how the boys responded to what I feel was some poor sportsmanship. They maintained their composure and continued to play Hawk Orange football from the start of the game to the last play.
I look forward to another solid week of practice as we move towards next weekends game. The practice schedule will remain the same.
Clean those helmets up for stickers on Tuesday.
There is one more matter. Coach Crockett made a challenge to the linemen (I may have made the challenge on his behalf) and they stepped up and meet the challenge so I would like to do ice cream for the entire team after practice on Friday.
Great Job Parents for being the loudest fans in the League......Happy Birthday Jake with two touchdowns...... Way to start off the year.....
