Parker Hawks Orange had an amazing time at the Faulkner Tournament this weekend.  Some intense heat on Saturday followed up by some rain towards the end of Sundays game.  It is definitely going to be a great season as the boys are working hard to improve their skills and come together as a team.

Today was a good way to start the season.  I was very proud of all of the boys.  I think the effort was very good today.  The coaches and I all saw some very good things as well as some things we need to work on.  I am pleased to see them starting to come together as a team.

Hawks Orange - 2011 Shirts

Hello Hawks Orange Nation,

Last year the Parker Hawks Orange Nation had custom shirts made to wear with pride and honor during all of the Hawks games and events. We would like to continue with this tradition this season with a new Hawks Orange logo and shirt! Attached you will find images of the front and back designs for the shirts, which will be offered in a plain short sleeve shirt or long sleeve shirt style in black only and several different sizes.

We would like to place the order for these shirts by August 10th 2011 in order to try and have them available for mandatory weigh-ins on August 20th. So if you could please contact either myself or my wife (Gail - g_colleran@msn.com) to order before this date. We are going to be placing a single order for all shirts in order to get the best price, so please have your orders submitted as soon as possible.

NOTE: Currently the front of the shirt has a small saying on the front...."When you win, nothing hurts." This is not finalized at this point and your suggestions are welcome as to what small saying could be placed on the shirt. Please reply back to this email with your suggestrf saying and we will let the coachs pick the final saying.

First Practice of 2011

It was really great to see everyone and meet those of you that are new to the Hawks Orange Nation. We look forward to another great season and hope that everyone has a great time playing or watching Hawks Orange Football.

Start of the 2011 Hawks Orange Season

Game jerseys as well as the rest of the equipment can be purchased at Locker Room Sports at Pine Lane and Parker Rd.  Other than the game jerseys the rest of the equipment can be purchased anywhere but I have found that Locker Room Sports is very competitive on price and you can get everything you need in one stop.  I do recommend that you order your jerseys as soon as possible as it does take a few weeks for them to come in.

Uniforms consist of the following equipment:

• Navy Blue Helmet with Orange Face Mask
• Shoulder Pads
• Navy Blue Pants with pads
• White Game Jersey with number on both sides and last name on the back
• Blue Game Jersey with number on both sides and last name on the back
• Navy Blue Socks
• Cleats
• Colored Mouth Piece with a Colored Strap
• Protective Cup (optional)
• Practice Pants (optional)
• Practice Jersey (nothing specific is required)
